My work is based upon my own memories & thoughts on the subjects I use. I love expressions & words that I refer to as “thoughts to ponder”. I enjoy being outside “bonding with nature”. Many of my inspirations come from places I visit or see everyday in my life.
I tend to scope out thrift stores to find items that make great supports for mixed media rather than use traditional canvas. You will find many of my abstract expressionism art made with tiles, ready-made frames, suitcases, boards, and even furniture. Most of my digital work starts out with photos I've taken, then I use Photoshop to transform them into the final design. I like to use textures wherever I can & much of my contemporary artwork is done using textured acrylics with paints and inks. Many of my collages feature a vintage theme with some texture as well.
My hope is that you find something in my artwork that inspires or creates a feeling within yourself. To me that is the greatest satisfaction an artist can have.
